Jaana was born in Estonia and began ballroom dancing at the tender age of six. She soon grew to be one of the most decorated amateur dancers in her country. Competing in both the International Standard and Latin division, Jaana became a multi time Estonian National Champion.

As an adult, Jaana dove into her studies in Birmingham, UK in the field of International Political Economics. However, her heart guided her to a career in Ballroom Dancing at Fred Astaire Dance Studios in Buffalo Grove, where she now has become one of the Top Teachers in the Fred Astaire Franchise as well as the director of Client Relations.
