Melanie orchestrates the “behind the scenes” department at Fred Astaire. As a former teacher and avid Ballroom Dancer, Melanie keeps her heart (and her desk) close to the dance floor. She still competes in the American Rhythm division with her husband, Stephen. In her free time, Melanie joins Elle in their Non-Profit Dance Company called Ellanie. Together, they strive to bring quality choreography and dance training to under funded school programs and community groups.

As a student at Bradley University, Melanie earned a degree in Theatre Performance and studied under Zeva Barzell, Steve Snyder and George Brown. While performing, choreographing, and contributing to over 30 productions, Melanie found time to serve as President of Bradley's first dance ensemble, Dansee, and as Secretary of Alpha Psi Omega, the theatre fraternity.
