Fred Astaire staff and students went aboard the Majesty of the Seas
in November and set sail

Our professional dancers joined the women of the Morton Grove Women's Club on October 15th for their annual gala. The dancers performed in an exciting show featuring popular dances including the hustle, the swing, and the tango!
Proceeds from this event went to various cancer research federations
as well as childrens' foundations.
We'd like to thank the Morton Grove Women's Club for being such gracious hosts!

Regional Salsa Workshop!
Jesse and Jackie lead an intense workshop on the movements and techniques of salsa!
The workshop eventually broke into a huge salsa dance party!
Jesse DeSoto and Jackie Josephs, the owners of Fred Astaire Chicago North were awarded Top Overall Studio for 2010 during the award ceremony in Las Vegas, NV at CCDC 2011.
This is the fourth consecutive year that their school has been given this award. Fred Astaire Chicago North has only been open since September of 2005, so this streak is unprecedented.
Jackie and Jesse attribute their 4 years on top to their mentorship and guidance from people like Rae and Joe Josephs as well as the consistent support from their long time staff: Aaron DeSoto (Instructor), Chris Germain (Instructor), Simona Polmova (Instructor), Brittney Bartler (Instructor), Jaana Lillemagi (Manager), Elle Cardona (Central Manager), Melanie Champ (Office Manager), and their new staff: Rachel Len (Instructor) and Adrian Dydynski (Instructor).
